Phil Adelman and his wife Hannah have been members of Temple Kol Ami for over twenty years. Phil is a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel who was a command pilot with 225 combat rescue missions and then later a logistics officer. He has been teaching in the business program at DeVry University for twenty-six years. He is also a published author of a textbook, Entrepreneurial Finance, which is currently in its fifth edition. Due to many Air Force transfers, Phoenix is the Adelman’s twenty-third home. They have always been active members of congregations and firmly believe that the synagogue must be an integral part of Jewish life. To this end they have belonged to a congregation in all of the communities where they lived. Phil has also been the Jewish Lay Leader at several military bases and his wife has been the either the religious school director or taught Hebrew and Bar Mitzvah programs at most of their congregations. Phil is a graduate of Phoenix College, the University of Nebraska at Omaha and holds an MBA from the University of Utah.

I am pleased to once again be treasurer of TKA. My wife, Vicki, and I have been members of Kol Ami for about 20 years. My son Jeremy and his wife Dawn and my grandson Brody are also members. Vicki and I also have a son Adam who recently graduated from Georgetown Law School. He and his wife Marya live in Takoma Park, MD. My goal for TKA is to be fiscally sound and drama free so that I can come to pray with family and friends in a peaceful, spiritual environment.
My wife, Cherie, and I are long-time members and supporters of Kol Ami. Our kids have been in the religious school for the past 15 years. Our older children became bar and bat mitzvahs at TKA, and we have a daughter who is 12 and who has just begun her own training to become a Bat Mitzvah.
I’ve been very active in social action endeavors for my entire adult life. For about 20 years, in the 80’s and 90’s, I helped to start and run Camp Swift. More recently, I have served for approximately 15 years as a board member of the Arizona Center for Law in the Public Interest. I am an attorney, and practice here in Scottsdale at Adelman German, PLC.
Maggie and I have been members of Kol Ami for nearly two years and our two beautiful daughters, Eliza and Chloe, are enrolled in the Temple’s Early Childhood Center. I practice Labor and Employment law with my firm, Foster Meyerson & Hauer, and direct Yoogot.com, a socially-conscious online marketplace. When I am not working, I enjoy playing music and writing fiction.
Around Temple Kol Ami, I am better known as the husband of Natalee, son in law of Ralph and Rita Segal and father of Curtis, Asher, Shai and that Theo kid. Professionally, I am President of Josephs Appraisal Group and The Maricopa Group Real Estate Services organizations and partner at Value Trend Solutions. Personally, I enjoy trail running, watching University of Arizona sports, picking up dog hair around our home and coaching my kids soccer and football teams. I have organized charity trail runs/hikes, basketball tournaments and other philanthropic affairs, and am enjoying my time working on the Board at Kol Ami.

Our family has been members of the Temple Kol Ami community for 23 years. Carl and I are most recently enjoying more active roles and happy to say our son Lewis 27 is now a member in his own right. I have been part of the business community for many years. For the past 20+ years I worked as CFO for Lexcel Solutions, Inc. a local technology company with an international reach founded by my husband. My focus is implementation of strategic financing initiatives, capital budgeting, resource requirements planning, corporate strategic analysis and decisions, corporate share structure, and investor relations. When I am off the clock I enjoy active sports, reading and spending time with friends and family.
My husband Lee and I have been members of Temple Kol Ami for over 15 years. We have two teenage children, a son in college, and a daughter who is a high school senior.
