Guitar Lessons for Kids and for Teens
We are offering free guitar lessons! Cantor Raina will teach kids grades 4 – 8, and Michael Rosenthal will work with high school students. These are group lessons and it doesn’t matter if you are a beginner, or someone who is looking to improve their skills or learn to be a songleader. Our focus will be on learning Jewish music, the kind kids sing at camp, and the music we sing during services. Bring your own guitar, we’ll bring the patience. Guitar lessons will be held on Wednesdays and begin October 19, from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm. Call the Temple Office 480-951-9660 for more info or to reserve a place in class.

Temple Kol Ami is pleased to announce that it has become an official partner with Valley Beit Midrash (VBM). VBM is a collaborative adult education program that brings new, exciting and relevant Jewish learning to the Greater Phoenix Jewish community in a diverse, welcoming, engaging and pluralistic setting.

In this course we will consider different theological responses to the horrors of the Shoah. From ultra-Orthodox rabbis writing at the time of the Shoah to scholars writing decades after the event, we will consider a wide range of responses to the fundamental questions posed by the holocaust.
